Cranium is a board game created by Whit Alexander and Richard Tait in 1998. Richard Tait realized the need for a game that involved a range of skills, so he convinced Whit Alexander to join him in the creation of Cranium. Unlike many other party games, Cranium offers a diverse range of activities suitable for children and their families. It is marketed as "The Game for Your Whole Brain"
The game takes place on a planet called Planet Cranium and features alien characters. However, there are no other space-related elements in the game. The primary challenge here was to enhance the overall aesthetic of the product and make it more user-friendly without confusing the consumer.
The new concept maintained a consistent space theme throughout the entire game. Elements such as the redesigned alien characters, the clean black and white space background, and the use of updated styles and colors of planets were implemented to create elevated aesthetics.
